Megan Young answers curious netizen wondering about the scar on her belly

When Megan Young posted a bikini photo on her Instagram last week, netizens couldn’t help but notice a prominent scar right below her belly button.

The Miss World 2013 queen had no problem replying to one of the comments, saying she got the scar from an appendectomy, which is a common surgical procedure usually performed to treat appendicitis.

“It’s my scar from when I had an appendectomy!” Megan said.

 

Several netizens were able to relate, saying they had the similar scar.

One of the commenters who were inspired by Megan’s confidence even used the hashtag "#TeamHiwa (#TeamCut)."

Megan posted the bikini photo last week after enjoying a fun beach trip with her husband Mikael Daez, and it has earned more than 207,000 hearts as of posting.

In 2013, Megan Young became the first-ever Filipina to be crowned Miss World.

In 2014, her sister Lauren Young confirmed that Megan had her appendix removed and was recovering quickly.
