Vic Sotto on Maine Mendoza as a comedian: 'She's a natural'
Bossing Vic Sotto had nothing but good words for his "Daddy's Gurl" co-star Maine Mendoza.
In a virtual press conference for "Daddy's Gurl," Vic said Maine is "very good" and a such a natural as a comedian.
"Even from the start, nung AlDub panahon palang, na nasa dub palang siya we knew that there was something in her; that she has the talent and nakita naman nating lahat, na-witness nating lahat yung pag-evolve to a better actress, to a better host, lalo na sa Bulaga. She’s just a natural," Vic said.
"I don't remember the times na I gave her pointers," he added. "Natural na lang lumalabas eh kung ano man yung kalokohan, kagandahan, o yung galing niya sa pag-arte, mapa-comedy, serious, mapa-batuhan ng opinyon."
According to Vic, Maine is "very well-rounded and very talented."
Meanwhile, Maine turned "speechless" at all the kind words Vic said about her.
According to the Phenomenal Star, there are times she feels intimidated by the veteran actor's presence during tapings. Maine also admitted to feeling like she's not yet as good as she wants to be, saying oftentimes "we are our worst critic."
