GMA Pinoy TV's 'Pinoy A+' bags nomination at Asian Television Awards


GMA Pinoy TV's "Pinoy A+" bagged a nomination at the 26th Asian Television Awards!

The short-form educational show was nominated under the Best 2D Animated Programme category this year, competing against Malaysia's Buck and Buddy," Singapore's "Barangay 143 Season 2" and "Tish Tash," Australia's "Lego: Monkie Kid," and India's "FukreyBoyzzz: Vaanar Sena."

"Pinoy A+" or "Pinoy Aklatan: Filipino Stories for Kids," began airing on GMA Pinoy TV last December 2020 and subsequently, on GMA News TV last February. It's an educational program that aims to promote Philippine literature and the Filipino language to kids by letting them listen to Kapuso stars read out loud Pinoy classic folklore, fables, myths and legends.

Launched in 1996, the Asian Television Awards recognizes "excellence in programming, production, and performance" determined by over 60 judges from across the region. This year's edition will be livestreamed this December 10-11, 2021. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
