Ben&Ben, Zild and Juan Karlos drop ‘Lunod’ music video directed by Jerrold Tarog
The highly-awaited “Lunod” music video is finally here and it's everything.
On Friday, Ben&Ben, Zild and Juan Karlos dropped their “Lunod” collaboration music video helmed by “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo” director Jerrold Tarog.
The video takes place in San Juan, Manila’s El Deposito, one of the oldest water reservoirs in the world, built in the 1800s.
In the video, the artists can be seen walking through the eerily dark reservoir, with shots of their hands trying desperately to catch water from falling.
In several scenes, the artists can be seen submerging their heads in water, their eyes covered with flowers.
In a press conference on Friday, vocalist Miguel Benjamin said the music video was “unafraid to explore darker visuals.”
“In a way this is very distinct and distinctly, visually Direk Jerrold,” he said.
He added, “Grabe pagkasulat ni Direk ng visual narrative ng video. Malalim siya. When we watched the final cut, it’s very personal to him and his entire team.”

The music video for “Lunod” marked a lot of firsts for the band, bassist Agnes Reoma said, including creating a music video with "Buwan" singer Juan Karlos and "Kyusi" singer Zild.
“It’s the first music video out of the Pebble House bubble na we went out to shoot something and in a historical place pa, so marami ring firsts as a band,” she said. “Dream rin namin magkaroon ng ganitong, parang nasa darker rock side, so hopefully sa future songs we can explore na ganoong side of the band.”

Meanwhile, Miguel shared that the venue tied poetically with the lyrics.
“I think the energy there is really heavy but probably it’s also a lack of oxygen as you go deeper. Madilim talaga kasi, hindi mo nakikita ‘yung dulo,” he said.

He emphasized the line “hindi na muling malulunod pa (I won’t drown again)” in the latter part of the video where they can be seen walking out of the tunnel.
He said, “I think with us experiencing a lack of oxygen sa dulo, hanggang lumalabas ka mas nakakahinga ka rin. I find that very poetic.”
