Pia Wurtzbach slams people breaking protocols, after getting COVID-19: 'Konting personal accountability, please'
After getting diagnosed with COVID-19, Pia Wurtzbach slammed people who continue to break protocols despite experiencing symptoms and testing positive with the virus already.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Friday, the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder said, "It seems easy for anyone to just break protocols and still go out even when they know they tested positive. Feeling nila, 'di sila mahuhuli or wala namang nagbabantay. I’ve personally seen other people do this."
"Meron pa diyan, may symptoms na & have the means to get tested pero ayaw nilang ma-confirm na may COVID sila, tas lalabas pa rin. Naku, konsensiya niyo na lang yan. Konting personal accountability, please," she added.
[There are other people there who already have symptoms and have the means to get tested but they just don't want to confirm they have COVID-19, and they still go out. Naku, please listen to your conscience. Just a little bit of personal accountability please.]
Pia shared that a lot of people are already getting sick and urged the public to "not be selfish."
"I don‘t wanna sound preachy but let’s not be selfish and go breaking protocols, hoarding supplies, refusing to get tested and vaccinated," the beauty queen said.
She added, "I hope we can start 2022 right. Let’s look after one other by getting those jabs, staying in isolation if needed, stop gathering in big groups, frequent hand washing, and please wear those masks properly."
In the same Instagram post, Pia confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19 in the United Kingdom where she spent the holidays. Fortunately, she shared, she was fully vaccinated and got her booster shot, and is "recovering well." — LA, GMA News
