Alden Richards, Bea Alonzo to topbill Philippine adaptation of K-drama hit ‘Start-Up’

Here's some great news to usher in the weekend: GMA-7 just announced it will be doing the Philippine adaptation of K-drama favorite "Start Up."

And that's not all: Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo will topbill the drama, their first highly anticipated pairing!

"Start-Up," a series about young entrepreneurs dreaming and working to hit it big and become successful, became a hit in 2020 when viewers and netizens started rooting for Team Good Boy and Team Do San.

"This is my first K-drama adaptation project. Parang ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na mabigyan ng opportunity to be able do something na hinahanap ng audience," Alden told Nelson Canlas on "24 Oras."

Bea said even before she signed with GMA, the project had already been pitched to her.

"It is one of the reasons I why decided to become a Kapuso," she said.

According to CJ ENM Co. Ltd., the Korean drama's producer, GMA "has always been a good partner and it is great to see them remaking" the series in the Philippines.

While the characters and rest of the cast have not been revealed yet, stay tuned for more surprises, Kapuso!
