Yasmien Kurdi and James Blanco honored at Maharlikang Filipino Awards

Yasmien Kurdi and James Blanco were given the Maharlikang Parangal sa Larangan ng Musika, Sine at Telebisyon at Maharlikang Filipino Awards.

The star-studded event was held on Friday night at Okada Manila.

“Isang karangalan ang mahanay ako sa mga Pilipinong matagumpay sa kani-kanilang larangan,” Yasmien wrote on Instagram.

“Nawa’y ang mga proyektong kinabibilangan ko at ang mga tauhan na ginagampanan ko’y magsilbing inspirasyon sa mga manonood tungo sa mas maunlad na kinabukasan. Mabuhay po kayo!”

Yasmien last starred in the afternoon drama series “Las Hermanas” as Dorothy Manansala, the eldest daughter who grows distant from her younger siblings as they try to help each other through life’s difficulties.

Apart from her long filmography on television and films, Yasmien is also a singer, having released two albums and various singles.

Meanwhile, James thanked the Lord for giving him another blessing, everyone part of the award-giving body, and his manager Leo Dominguez.

James most recently appeared on the afternoon serye “Prima Donnas,” which he joined in 2020 until its conclusion in 2022. He played Ruben Escalante, a rich man who makes an impact on the lives of the three main characters.
