Herlene Budol leans in on variety show experience for Bb. Pilipinas talent competition

Herlene Budol just finished her stint at the Bb. Pilipinas talent competition, still  ongoing Thursday afternoon, and what can we say?

She definitely leaned in on her strength, performing a song and dance number not unlike what television viewers are used to.

Garbed in colorful attire and accompanied by six back-up dancers, Herlene opened her portion in a familiar manner:  "Wazzup mga ka-squammy, mga hiponatics, mga ka-budol diyan!"

Herlene's number is rather campy, but it has an empowering message about beating the odds confidently.

"Ikaw ay maganda, 'wag kang mag-aalala. Palaging sa sarili mong maniwala," went the chorus and it's as if Herlene really was leaning on her strength and her story.

Introduced as an actress, host, and commedienne, Herlene surprised everyone with her stunning transformation for the beauty pageant. From a rowdy, street-smart gal, Herlene became a poised and self-assured beauty queen hopeful.

Judging from the loud cheers of support, it can be safely said she's also among the more popular Binibinis this year.
