Benjamin Alves warns public about poser accounts

Benjamin Alves warned his followers about a fake Instagram account pretending to be him while randomly messaging his fans.

On Instagram Stories on Wednesday night, the Kapuso actor posted a screenshot of a private message sent to one of his fans by a poser account under the username @benjamin_alves580.

Tagging the fake account, Ben wrote, "NOT ME. Stop messaging people pretending to be me."

While social media is an excellent avenue for connecting with celebrities and rapid news dissemination, it's also just as fast for fake news to spread online and for bogus accounts to fool netizens.

Just recently, Kapuso actress Rita Daniela slammed an online report claiming that has broken up with her baby's father.
