Herlene Budol reveals police with guns chased her in Uganda

Herlene Budol revealed that police with guns chased her prior to leaving Uganda.

On Nelson Canlas' "24 Oras" report, Thursday, Herlene recalled the traumatizing experience she had after withdrawing from the Miss Planet International 2022.

"Paglabas ko, siguro 'yung ibang pulis, hindi nasabihan. Hinabol ako ng maraming may baril. Dalawa po 'yung humabol sa 'kin na may mahabang [baril]," she said.

"Sabi 'hold on, hold on.' Sabi ko sa sarili ko, 'parang ito na ata katapusan ko.' Akala ko sa pelikula ko lang [mapapanood 'to. Nag-flashback sa 'kin lahat," she added.

While they were leaving, Herlene said she and her team also couldn't help but feel that they were being followed even when their vehicle is moving at full speed.

In an earlier vlog, Herlene's manager Wilbert Tolentino revealed the reasons why they withdrew from the pageant. Apart from having no food, the candidates also had no hotel to stay at.

At one point, Herlene was even seen crying, talking to officials, saying "I want to go home."

The Miss Planet International Organization has not issued a statement regarding the issue. Meanwhile, the pageant was postponed to January 2023 in Cambodia.
