‘Voltes V: Legacy’ cast cries after watching first episode

The lead cast of “Voltes V: Legacy” couldn’t help but cry after watching the series’ first episode.

According to Nelson Canlas’ “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, the cast enjoyed a special preview of the show and instantly became emotional after seeing the fruits of their labor.

“We’ve been working so hard on this project for so long so seeing yung first ep, yung preview with the scoring and everything, talagang maiiyak ka talaga,” said Ysabel Ortega, who plays Jamie Robinson.

“Sobrang lala nung attention to detail kasi kapag nakita mo, talagang pinag isipan ang bawat eksena,” added Matt Lozano, who plays Big Bert.

While Raphael Landicho (Little Jon) said that their hard work was “very worth it,” Miguel Tanfelix (who plays Steve Armstrong) just couldn’t help but be proud of everyone.

Radson Flores (Mark Gordon), meanwhile, is extremely grateful to be playing a huge role in the show.

Last year, the "Voltes V: Legacy" earned a thumbs up from Toei Company, the owner of the "Voltes V" franchise, after dropping the teaser for an upcoming featurette on the series.

Licensed by Japan's own Toei Company, Ltd. through its Philippine licensor Telesuccess Productions, Inc., “Voltes V: Legacy” will premiere on GMA-7 in the second quarter of 2023. — Franchesca Viernes/BM, GMA Integrated News
