Michelle Dee tells Celeste Cortesi: 'Thank you for raising our flag'

Michelle Dee took to Instagram to share a message of thanks and support to her fellow queen, Celeste Cortesi.

Posting a photo of the two of them together in a golf cart, Michelle said, "You gave it your all and that’s all that matters."

“We’re so proud of you @celeste_cortesi! Thank you for raising our flag. Qué será será!” she added.

Michelle and Celeste both competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2022. Celeste won the main crown , whereas Michelle was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism.

Michelle was also crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and finished in the Top 12 of the global competition.

Celeste bowed out early of the Miss Universe 2022 pageant, held on January 15 in New Orleans. It was the first time since 2009 that the Philippines’ bet did not make it to the semifinals.

R’bonney Gabriel, who represented the USA, was crowned Miss Universe and is the first Filipino-American queen to have the title.
