Padre Salvi and his aides hilariously ride the LRT for the first time

Padre Salvi’s adventures in the modern world just keep getting more and more hilarious.

Running late to a commitment in a nearby town, Renato (Kiel Rodriguez) and Don Tiburcio (Roven Alejandro) suggest they ride this new mode of transportation to easily get to their destination.

Donning his costume and back in character again, Juancho Triviño asked, “Anong klaseng kabayo yan, Renato?”

Learning they won't be riding a horse or a kalesa, the threesome wore their face masks to get ready to board the train.

“Bakit ba kailangan nating magsuot ng ganito? Ano ba tawag dito?” The friar said.

“Hindi ko alam, padre. Ngunit ito ang kanilang karakalan. Kailangan natin daw isuot itong harang sa ating mga mukha,” Renato answered.

Trying out the train, the evil priest and his aides are hilariously out of place. They lose their balance, get off the wrong station, and miss their train.

“Paumanhin padre at ako’y laging palpak,” Kiel said in the comments section.

Juancho’s skits as Padre Salvi continue to amuse netizens because his hilarious takes are totally different from the evil character he portrays in “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

Among Padre Salvi's modern-day adventures include experiencing a fast-food drive-thru, learning about 24-hour convenience stores, and getting shocked at onion prices at a grocery.

Imagine if Padre Salvi rode the LRT-2 today, when pets are allowed on the train  — now that would've been a shocker for the time-traveling priest!

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” airs on GMA Telebabad on weekdays after “24 Oras.” It is also streamed on GMANetwork.com, the GMA Network app, and YouTube channel.
