David Licauco admits he feels kilig over Barbie Forteza

David Licauco admitted that just like Team FiLay fans, he feels kilig over his interactions with Barbie Forteza as Fidel and Klay.

In Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, David spoke about his closeness with his "Maria Clara at Ibarra" co-star.

On a scale of 1 to 10, David said they are now at 9, though they started at 1.

"Kumbaga, before, I couldn't open up to her kasi, I don't know, siguro medyo shy type ako na eventually na-figure out ko masaya siya kausap," he said.

"The thing about Barbie kasi, whenever I tell stories to her, she really listens," he added.

Nelson also asked the actor, "I'm asking you as David ha. Kinikilig ka ba kay Barbie?"

"Oo," David said. "'Yung nga eksena rin kasi namin, medyo, kumbaga, kailangan namin maging sweet, ganyan."

"So, siyempre, tao rin naman tayo na kasi when you're acting, you're actually feeling things e, you're supposed to feel things," he added.

David and Barbie won the hearts of fans with their chemistry as Fidel and Klay. After "Maria Clara at Ibarra" ended, they still made everyone kilig with their TikTok videos and their Thanksgiving Fans Day.

Will we see more of David and Barbie in future projects? According to David, there's a series and possibly a film in store for them, but nothing is set is stone just yet.

The two, however, will star in a "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko" episode soon. Fidel and Klay themselves may not have said their final goodbye, so here's hoping!
