David Licauco opens up on newfound fame: 'I’m a bit more careful now'

David Licauco opened up about his newfound stardom in his latest magazine interview.

Following his breakout role as Fidel in “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” the Kapuso actor was featured on Scout Magazine, where he said he's more mindful now.

“I’m a bit more careful now [with my actions] and I’m still trying my best to figure out kasi [people] look up to me, so they see me as an inspiration," he said.

But despite the fame, David said that he is still the same person. “Siguro I have more responsibilities now. But I’ve been sort of the same since I was in high school and elementary.”

David added that he values authenticity, his loved ones, and focusing on what matters most.

“Lahat naman tayo, minsan nakakalimutan nating bigyan ng importansya kung sino talagang core group mo, kasi syempre with all the things that happen in our lives. So, sometimes you have to be aware na, ‘you’re still David na anak ng parents mo, [and] a brother,’” he said.

David is on a roll with these magazine covers. He also recently appeared on Mega Man and Cosmopolitan Philippines where he talked about romance.
