Barbie Forteza had hunch Team FiLay will continue after David Licauco's confession in 'Maria Clara at Ibarra'

Barbie Forteza said she had a hunch that she would get to work longer with David Licauco when Fidel confessed his feelings to Klay in "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

"'Yung tinatangi kita scene ang tumatak sa mga tao, so, sabi ko talaga, iba rin talaga ang David! Parang matagal-tagal kami magsasama nito," Barbie said on Tuesday's press conference for "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko."

"True enough, ito na nga busy na kami ngayon, so nagpapasalamat lang din ako dahil ang saya kapag may nangyari sa 'yong maganda na 'di inaasahan, ang sarap sa puso," the Sparkle actress added.

Barbie previously said she is looking forward to working more with David and witnessing his growth as an actor.

David, for his part, said he feels the same.

"I don't know what the future holds, honestly, I wanna take it day by day, but one thing's for sure, I want to work more with Barbie," said the Pambansang Ginoo.

"Kung meron kaming movie or teleserye, I'll just do my best para mag-work 'yung love team namin," he added.

The Sparkle actor previously said there may be a film and another series in the cards for them. He also hinted that Fidel and Klay may not have said their final goodbye to the viewers.

David and Barbie will soon star in an episode of "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko" on March 12, which will air on GMA Network at 6 p.m. after "24 Oras Weekend."
