Ogie Diaz explains why he went public with his statements instead of talking privately with Liza Soberano

Ogie Diaz, Liza Soberano's former manager, just responded to the statements the 25-year-old actress made in her exclusive two-part interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."

According to Ogie, he was met with so many bashers after the second part aired on Monday.

"Bago pa lumabas yunga part 2, naglabas na kami ng sagot sa cliffhanger," Ogie said in a fresh new vlog published on Wednesday.

In responding to Liza saying Ogie should've talked to her in private instead of airing his sentiments in public, the talent manager and comedian first explained the chronological order of events.

He agreed with Liza, confirming they did part ways amicably. In the vlog, Ogie said their contract ended last May 31, 2022 but kept in touch and in contact. He even read off their birthday messages sent via Viber last January.

But things turned hazy in February, when Liza's social media was wiped clean. According to Ogie, he messaged his former talent, offering help in case Liza needed assistance in reclaiming her social media accounts.

Showing their Viber thread, Ogie said Liza no longer responded to his messages.

And then her controversial "I Am Hope" vlog aired.

Inilabas niya 'yon, syempre ilalabas namin yung panig namin," Ogie said.

In the second installment of Liza's exclusive interview with Boy Abunda, aired Monday, Liza admitted feeling resentful toward her former manager.

“So ngayon, nagtatampo po ako sa kaniya because he is saying so many things that are untrue,” Liza said, referring to Ogie. “Why is he trying to say things to make people turn against me?”

"He should’ve talked to me kasi para namang wala kami pinagsamahan,” Liza continued.

In his response, Ogie said he wasn't inventing anything. "Hindi aka nagpo-produce ng lies. At hindi rin namin siya kinakawawa. Hindi rin namin siya sinasabihan na walang utang na luob," he said.

"Ang lagi kong pinapaalala sa kanya, ay maging grateful."

In his message to Liza, Ogie said he hoped she saw his vlogs in full. "Sana lahat ng palabas namin, napapanuod mo. Sincere kami sa sinasabi namin. Mahal kita. Nagmamalasakit ako. Sana mas sumikat ka sa pinili mong management, career path," he said. — LA, GMA Integrated News
