Anne Curtis's advice to sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith on dealing with bashers: 'Art of deadma'

Jasmine Curtis-Smith shared the best piece of advice she got from her elder sister Anne Curtis on how to handle bashers.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Kapuso star said Anne told her to learn to ignore negative comments.

"Learn to brush it off. Laging sabi ni Ate noon, art of deadma which is not very easy to learn lalo na kung sensitive kang tao," she said.

"Pero it's a muscle na kailangan mo lang i-exercise every day," she added. "Especially kapag nabasa mo na 'yung ayaw mong mabasa and na-rattle ka na about it, kasi mahirap din pigilan na na-hurt ka or apektado ka."

Jasmine said that it's difficult to avoid reading what other people are saying online, given how much the use of social media has evolved in the last decade.

"I think mahirap sabihin na hindi or magpaka-strong to say na I don't care, I don't give it any notice," she said. "Pero kailangan mo lang din intindihin these are personal opinions."

"And I have my personal opinions about people. So minsan ayoko din sa ibang tao pero di ko lang natu-tweet di ba, pero sa akin umaabot 'yung mga ibang tao."

Jasmine has a close relationship with Anne, who is nine years older than her. She previously opened up on what it was like to get compared to her sister in showbiz.

She is also a sweet tita to her niece Dahlia, Anne's daughter with Erwan Heussaff.

Jasmine recently starred in the Sundance Film Festival entry "In My Mother's Skin."
