Lee O'Brian files counter affidavit vs. Pokwang's deportation case

Lee O'Brian has filed a counter affidavit in response to Pokwang's request to deport him from the country.

In "24 Oras," Tuesday, Iya Villania reported that Lee has responded to Pokwang's deportation petition.

According to Bureau of Immigration Spokesperson Dana Sandoval, the legal division team is still looking into the petition filed by the comedienne.

GMA Integrated News has tried reaching out to Lee's team, but they refused to give a statement and will only give a comment once there is an update on the status of the case.

Pokwang's team, meanwhile, maintained their stand that Lee "must be deported immediately from the Philippines."

"Undesirable aliens have no place in this country. With this case we are pursuing, we are putting a stop to the gross manipulation of the Philippine Immigration laws and the acts of abuse against our client, Ms. Marietta Subong," Pokwang's legal counsel, Atty. Ralph Calisan said in a statement.

"The Philippines must be a safe place for everyone, especially us Filipinos," he added.

Pokwang filed the deportation case against Lee earlier this month, saying that she wants to be free of her ex-partner.

She has also dissociated from her joint social media accounts with Lee and, at the same time, restricted the use of her images for promotions and other purposes.

Pokwang and Lee separated in December 2021. In February, the comedienne admitted that the split had not been amicable.
