'Lolong' airs on Indonesian channel ANTV as 'Dakkila'

"Lolong" has reached Indonesia!

The Kapuso adventure series begins airing on Indonesian channel ANTV on Monday. It is called "Dakkila."

ANTV is one of the major networks in Indonesia, reaching 130 million people across 155 cities.

Starring Ruru Madrid, Shaira Diaz, and Arra San Agustin, "Lolong" tells the story of a man who befriends a giant crocodile named Dakila.

The series was produced by GMA Public Affairs based on the idea of award-winning broadcast journalist and GMA News pillar Jessica Soho and Assistant Vice President for GMA Public Affairs LJ Castel.

"Lolong" had a successful local run last year, dominating primetime ratings and becoming the talk of the town across the country.

It also won Best Primetime Serye at the Gawad Pilipino Icon of the Year 2022 and got recognized for Best Visual/Special Effects at the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards as the Philippines's national winner.
