At the GMA Gala, Raphael Landicho says he still prefers his 'Voltes V: Legacy' gear over a suit

Raphael Landicho undoubtedly has a soft spot for his character in "Voltes V: Legacy."

At the GMA Gala red carpet, the young man looked totally dapper in a classic black suit styled by Michael Ponce. He was interviewed alongside his “Voltes V: Legacy” co-stars Matt Lozano and Neil Ryan Sese.

But when host Rain Matienzo asked whether he prefers this suit over his Little Jon gear in “Voltes V: Legacy,” Raphael answered with a smile, “Ang hirap. Siguro 'yung sa ‘V5’ nalang po.”

It was also Raphael’s first time walking the gala night’s red carpet, and although he was happy, he was “medyo nervous.”

“Kasi ang dami pong tao, mag-pi-picture,” he said.

“Pero masaya din po ako, excited na na-experience ko din po mag-walk sa red carpet,” he added.

On a similar note, Matt Lozano also mentioned that his black and green two-toned suit is inspired by his character Big Bert’s color palette.

The 2023 GMA Gala Ball is currently happening, with the theme “elegant formal.” It is livestreamed on GMA Network and Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Facebook and YouTube, and on Sparkle’s TikTok account. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
