Stell reveals what BTS told him and Josh when they met in 2014
Before SB19 was formed, Stell and Josh were part of a dance cover group that met BTS in 2014.
On Tuesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Stell recalled how he fellow SB19 member Josh met the boys of the hit South Korean boy group.
“‘Yung experience na ‘yun, Tito Boy, hanggang ngayon sobrang fresh pa rin sa utak ko,” he said. “Kasi nung time po na ‘yon, parang, ano rin po sila eh, starting pa sila non na group non. And ‘yung era po nila ‘yun is parang ‘Danger’ pa.”
[Until now, the experience is still fresh in my mind. Because at that time, they were also starting out as a group. They were just in their 'Danger' era.]
Stell and Josh were part of a dance cover group named Se-Eon.
“We were very lucky na kami ‘yung Filipino cover group na pinadala ng Philippines that time to compete with other countries,” Stell said, adding that they felt grateful to BTS’ management for allowing them to meet the boys backstage.
[We were very luck because we were the Filipino cover group sent by the Philippines to compete with other countries.]
“And for them, sabi nila, happy rin sila na na-meet kami kasi kami daw po ‘yung first Filipino cover group na na-meet nila,” he said.
[They said they were happy to meet us because we are the first Filipino cover group they met.]
He continued, “So we’re very happy and very lucky to have that interaction with them that time. Super happy and blessed po kami na hanggang ngayon, sariwa pa po sa isip ko ‘yung nangyari.”
In October 2018, Stell and Josh debuted as members of SB19 with Pablo, Ken, and Justin.
Recently, SB19 shut down Hollywood Boulevard to film a music video and performed some of their hit songs.
They also appeared on morning shows in Los Angeles and New York, and brought the “GENTO” craze to Times Square!
