Bianca Umali admits still feeling scared despite having a successful career and relationship: 'Life will never be perfect'
Bianca Umali continues to thrive with her consecutive projects, and her ongoing five-year relationship with Ruru Madrid.
But the Sparkle star confessed during Tuesday's “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that, despite her achievements, she can’t help but still feel scared.
“Yes, tito. At hindi po biro ‘yung takot,” she said.
[Yes, and the fear is no joke.]
“Siguro po kasi, based on my life experiences as well, kapag po ganito na parang lahat smooth-sailing, kapag ang ganda ng lahat ng nangyayari, sometimes I think parang it’s too good to be true na parang panaginip,” Bianca said, saying she sometimes questions if things are actually real and fears that something bad may happen in return.
[Maybe because, based on my life experiences as well, when it's like this and everything seems smooth-sailing, when everything is going well, sometimes I think it's too good to be true, like a dream.]
Despite this, Bianca said that she loves the fear she feels.
“Kasi masasabi ko na ‘yung takot na ‘yun, ‘yun ‘yung nagpapalakas sa’kin. It’s kind of contradicting, but I love the fear because it makes me braver,” she said, adding that it pushes her to do her best and work harder.
[Because I can say that that fear, that's what strengthens me. It's kind of contradicting, but I love the fear because it makes me braver.]
The actress also shared that she and Ruru discuss this “a lot,” admitting that there are also times when they feel weak despite having successful careers.
“We turn to each other, we lean on each other, and that’s when we talk about [it.] We give each other strength,” Bianca said.
She continued, “And to accept, Tito, that life will never be perfect. But ‘yung acceptance of all the imperfections ng buhay, that’s what makes it perfect, ‘cause not everyone, not anyone, can accept the imperfections in life.”
Bianca is set to star in the upcoming series "San'gre: Encantadia Chronicles” with Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda.
Bianca will play Danaya’s daughter, Terra, who is also the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa.
She also has an upcoming horror movie, “Mananambal,” with National Artist for Film and Broadcast Art Nora Aunor.
The movie is directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and produced by B.C. Entertainment Production.
Meanwhile, Bianca and Ruru last worked together in “The Write One.”
