Michelle Dee says working with Ruru Madrid in 'Black Rider' is a 'full circle moment'
Following her Miss Universe stint, Michelle Dee is now back to acting as she joins the cast of “Black Rider!”
In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Tuesday, the Sparkle star said that even before her international pageant, she was already informed of the acting project.
“Actually, matagal ko nang alam, even before the production of ‘Black Rider’ started, I've known about the project, of course from Miss Annette and Miss Joy. I knew na it was a motorcycle concept and alam niyo naman, I’m such an adrenaline junkie and I was like ‘I want to be on that show,’” Michelle said.
“Pero siyempre, lumaban muna tayo. Ipinaglaban muna natin ang Filipinas. So, I'm so happy that the extension happened tapos nagka-chance ako na makasama sa cast,” she added.
Michelle will be joining lead star Ruru Madrid, whom she first worked with in 2019 for the action film “Cara x Jagger.”
“Ruru, he’s been one of my oldest friends in the industry. Fun fact, actually, one of our first projects namin together, naka-motor din kaming dalawa so parang full circle moment,” she said.
Michelle said that she plans to continue working next year.
“2024? Naku, I really just want to keep working. I really want to keep accepting all of the opportunities that I can. Maraming dapat abangan, maraming collaborations, maraming lipad sa ibang bansa but ultimately, I like to see the silver linings and see how I grow as a person also and how I can continue to use my platform to keep doing what I started doing with it,” she said.
Michelle first confirmed in November that she would be joining the series. Just yesterday, GMA Network shared a video of MMD arriving on the set of "Black Rider."
“Black Rider” airs weekdays at 8 p.m. on GMA Telebabad. It also stars Yassi Pressman, Matteo Guidicelli, Katrina Halili, and Jon Lucas, among others.
