Euwenn Mikaell wins Best Child Performer for 'Firefly' at 2023 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal

The 49th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal is happening tonight and the show kicked off with the first batch of awards.

Euwenn Mikaell, who played the role of Tonton in “Firefly,” won the Best Child Performer award. The other nominees were Jordan Lim of “Rewind” and Erin Espiritu of “K(ampon).”

“Firefly” is the official entry of GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.

It is a coming-of-age road trip drama about a young boy who searches for the mythical island described in his mother’s bedtime stories.

The film directed by Zig Dulay also stars Alessandra de Rossi, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Epy Quizon, Yayo Aguila, and Max Collins, among others.
