Herlene Budol defends mom from basher: 'Kahit broken family, maging masaya lang'

Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol replied to a netizen who accused her mother of abandoning their family.

The comedienne and beauty queen posted a portrait featuring her mother and more family members on Instagram.

A netizen commented, “It is nice na after ka iwan ng nanay mo, at sumikat ka na, nagkikita na kayo. Family is love sa huli.” The user added laughing emojis.

Herlene then replied and defended her family, saying her mother did not leave them.

“Hindi naman po tinakwil, miss. Nag karon lang po talaga ng hindi pag kakaunawaan sa pagitan ng tatay at nanay ko kaya sa lolo at lola po ako lumaki,” she said.

Herlene added that there is no such thing as a perfect family, “kaya kahit broken family, maging masaya lang."

“Pinipilit kong pag samahin silang lahat at sa awa ng diyos kahit may tampuhan at hindi pag kakaunawaan, pamilya pa din ang sandalan.”

Herlene opened up about her childhood and early years in an episode of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” and said that their family situation got better when her parents separated.

"Feeling ko naman ho talagang hindi sila ho para sa isa't isa,” she said.

She previously said that the negative comments have made her stronger.

Herlene starred in the GMA Afternoon Prime series “Magandang Dilag,” and is currently one of the cast members of “Black Rider.”

She is set to release a new single “Kain Tayo.”
