Did Joshua Garcia try to pursue Shuvee Etrata? According to the Sparkle actress, he didn't. 

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Shuvee clarified the rumors circulating that the Kapamilya actor has courted her.

"I just wanted to clarify, hindi po nanligaw si Joshua sa akin," she said when the King of Talk asked her if Joshua ever tried to pursue her.

"Ang ganda ko naman para ligawan ako ng isang Joshua Garcia!" she quipped. 

She reiterated that the actor didn't court her, but only sent her a direct message (DM) on Instagram.

"Noong nag-DM po siya, parang kinain talaga ako ng lupa. Pero it was not just the right time," the Cebuana actress shared, who also revealed that she is a fan of the actor.

When asked if she replied to his message, Shuvee said that she never responded as she was overwhelmed and was also aware of her priorities at that time.

"Hindi po. Siguro kasi I was so overwhelmed with the fact na, 'Ay kaya pala ni Joshua Garcia mag-chat sa akin.' So overwhelming," she said.

"Sinabi ko nga po sa lahat na, 'Hala! Chinat ako ni Joshua Garcia!' Pero parang hanggang doon lang po iyon, hindi na po iyon nag-ano kasi I know my priorities now…and madali lang po ako ma-inlove. Kung itutuloy ko iyon, na 'ko!" Shuvee added.

In a past interview with GMA News Online, Shuvee got real on summer flings and said she doesn't believe in that kind of relationship, as she is someone who has a mindset of dating to marry. 

Shuvee was recently launched as a member of Sparkle 10, a select group of female Sparkle artists, who are empowered, self-assured, and confident.

She starred in GMA Network's sports drama series "Hearts On Ice" with Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega.
