Dennis Trillo joins 'Pulang Araw' in his first major kontrabida role

Dennis Trillo is set to take on his first major kontrabida character soon in upcoming series "Pulang Araw!"

In Cata Tibayan's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the Kapuso Drama King said that he had always wanted to play an antagonist role.

Ngayon naman as a kontrabida.

Excited ako sa mga ganoon," he said.

Dennis said he did not have second thoughts when accepting the role as a Japanese soldier.

Mas kinakabahan ako doon sa 'pag nagta-Tagalog siya baka magiging nakakatawa,'" he said.

Dennis said that he's excited to work with his co-stars, Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, and Sanya Lopez.

"Pulang Araw" will also star Angelu De Leon, Epy Quizon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Aidan Veneracion, and more.

Dennis previously starred as Crisostomo Ibarra in "Maria Clara at Ibarra," Ned Armstrong in "Voltes V: Legacy," and Atom in "Love Before Sunrise."
