Dingdong Dantes on bashers: 'Ang mahalaga ay alam mo 'yung totoo, 'yung kakayahan mo'

Dingdong Dantes has had his fair share of being bashed in his decades-long career in showbiz, and he's learned to take it in stride.

In an interview on "Unang Hirit" on Friday, the Kapuso Primetime King was asked how he deals with it.

"Kailangan minsan, may mga ganon din para matesting ka rin," Dingdong said. "Hanggang saan ka ba, magpapadala ka ba?"

"Ang mahalaga naman ay ikaw alam mo 'yung totoo, kung ano talaga ang kakayahan mo," he added.

Dingdong also said that he does not mind constructive criticism.

"Pag critical sila dahil gusto nilang gumanda ang performance mo sa susunod, then that's OK," he said.

Dingdong renewed his contract with GMA Network in a grand event on Thursday.

The actor looked back on his beginnings as a dancer in GMA, and spoke about his memorable roles.

Before he became a household name, Dingdong starred in his first series under GMA Network in the youth-oriented show “T.G.I.S.”

Since then, he starred in several Kapuso series such as “Encantadia,” “Alyas Robinhood,” and “Dyesebel” to name a few. He also top-billed some award-winning movies, most recently “Rewind.”
