Sanya Lopez opens up on bashing she received when she starred in 'Encantadia'

Sanya Lopez is no stranger to receiving harsh words on social media, just like many celebrities.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas for GMA Integrated News, which aired on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the Sparkle star opened up on the bashing she received early in her career.

In particular, Sanya recalled the many doubts she faced when she was introduced as one of the Sang'gres in the 2016 edition of "Encantadia."

'Sino ba 'yan?'" she said.

The Kapuso actress said her support system, especially her managers Frank Millari and Alvin Fortuno, helped her overcome those hardships.

Tama 'yun. At gawin mong siyang instrumento para galingan mo pa 'yung sarili mo," she said.

Sanya became emotional talking about her managers, who have become fathers to her.

Kahit walang-wala kami nung mga panahon na 'yun sila 'yung nandyan to help me. So thank you for guiding me. For protecting me," she said.

Ganoon ko sila kamahal," she added.

Sanya will star with Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Alden Richards, and Dennis Trillo in upcoming GMA Prime series "Pulang Araw," which will premiere on Netflix on Friday.
