Dennis Trillo all praises for 'Pulang Araw' co-stars Alden Richards, David Licauco

Dennis Trillo is having a great time working with his "Pulang Araw" co-stars.

In a media conference on Tuesday, the Kapuso Drama King said it feels nice working with his co-stars Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco in the series.

"Masarap 'yung pakiramdam na makatrabaho ang mga superstars. Feeling mo ka-level ka rin nila," Dennis said.

According to Dennis, it's his first time working with Alden, and it feels great being with him in a show because of his passion and energy and level in work.

"First time ko siyang makatrabaho at makikita mo talaga ang passion niya every time magka-eksena kayo. 'Yong energy level niya parang hindi siya napapagod eh. Talagang ibang klase rin ang Alden Richards," he said.

Meanwhile, for Barbie, David, and Sanya, whom he had worked with in the past, Dennis said he has seen how much they have improved as actors, especially David.

"Habang lumilipas 'yong panahon nakikita mo ang growth nila. Si David lalo na talagang lagi rin niyang ini-improve ang sarili niya. Malaking improvement na 'yong nakita ko sa kanya simula noon hanggang ngayon."

Dennis starred with David and Barbie in "Maria Clara at Ibarra." Meanwhile, he worked with Sanya in "Cain at Abel." 

In "Pulang Araw," Dennis is playing the role of the Japanese Imperial Army Col. Yuta Saitoh, his first major kontrabida role.

According to the actor, he had to undergo some Japanese lessons for the character.

Meanwhile, Barbie plays the role of Adelina, David as Hiroshi, Alden as Eduardo and Sanya as Teresita.

Set before and during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, "Pulang Araw" follows the story of four childhood friends who face different struggles as war erupts in the country.

It also stars Epy Quizon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Ashley Ortega, Angelu De Leon, and more, with special participation from Rhian Ramos, Julie Anne San Jose, and others.

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix, where it is currently no. 1 on the Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today.
