Barbie Forteza, David Licauco finally reunite as Adelina, Hiroshi in 'Pulang Araw'

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are once again making us kilig as they reunite in "Pulang Araw" as Adelina Dela Cruz and Hiroshi Tanaka.

On Thursday's episode, the two childhood friends meet again 10 years after Hiroshi left the Philippines to study in Japan.

They had a brief encounter outside the business of Hiroshi's family, but they did not recognize each other.

Hiroshi asked Adelina in English if he was working there, but she said she was only waiting for her brother. Adelina then asked him for his name.

However, the moment was interrupted when Akio (Jay Ortega), Hiroshi's Japanese friend, arrived in a car to fetch him.

Previously, Hiroshi and Adelina had a glimpse of each other on the road. Hiroshi was riding a car when it almost ran over Adelina and her older brother, Eduardo (Alden Richards).

The two characters first met at a baseball field when they were children. They played a game and a young Hiroshi (Migz Diokno) protected Adelina (Cassy Lavarias) from Akio's bullying.

Aside from Barbie, David, and Alden, "Pulang Araw" also stars Sanya Lopez and Dennis Trillo.

The series airs weeknights at GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix, where it is currently no. 1 on the Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today.
