Vice Ganda lauds ‘Pulang Araw': ‘Hindi pwedeng makalimutan natin ang kasaysayan’

Vice Ganda has nothing but good praises for GMA Prime's "Pulang Araw."

On Tuesday's "It's Showtime" episode, where Sanya Lopez served as a celebrity guest, the Unkabogable Star took the opportunity to let the "Pulang Araw" star know how she appreciates the Kapuso series.

 “Maganda talaga ‘yung ‘Pulang Araw’ na serye,” Vice said.

“Ang ganda ng storya, masarap malaman din ‘yung mga ganap ng  nakaraan,” she added.

Vice also stressed the importance of knowing our country's history.

“Hindi pwedeng makalimutan natin ang kasaysayan at nakaraan kasi ‘yun ang magsisilbing ilaw sa mga tatahakin natin sa kasalukuyan at kinabukasan,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sanya expressed her gratitude for being part of "Pulang Araw" in the noontime show.

“Natutuwa ako na naging parte ako ng ‘Pulang Araw’ kasi napakalaking aral nito para sa ating mga Filipino,” she said.

It was announced in mid-November that "Pulang Araw" would be extended for two weeks. The show was originally a 100-episode series.

Directed by Dominic Zapata, "Pulang Araw" traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends, Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards), as World War II erupts in the Philippines.

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras" and also streams on Netflix.
