Chelsea Manalo to bashers: ‘Always be kind’

Chelsea Manalo to bashers: ‘Always be kind’

Chelsea Manalo has some words for bashers.

During Thursday's episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” the Bulakenya was asked what she felt when a pageant vlogger made a remark about her performance at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

According to Chelsea, people "always have to be careful on what [they] say."

"You don't know what it could imprint on the person you are bullying or bashing," she added before issuing a reminder: "Always be kind."

In a video commentary, pageant vlogger Adam Genato said two other Miss Universe Philippines candidates would have done better in the international pageant, following Chelsea’s stint in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant on November 17.

He also pointed out how Denmark's Victoria Theilvig, who was crowned Miss Universe 2024 looked like Barbie.

"Tingnan mo, sinong pinanalo nila, si Denmark, Barbie-looking. Sino bang closest Barbie-looking natin dito nung nakaraang MUPH?" Genato said.

Shortly after, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization condemned pageant vlogger Adam Genato’s comments, and called it “unfair, insensitive, hurtful, and dismissive of her accomplishments.”

Adam has issued an apology to Chelsea and the organization after.

Chelsea ended her Miss Universe 2024 campaign in the Top 30. During a post-pageant press conference, she was named Miss Universe Asia.

Chelsea arrived in Manila earlier this week and is set to travel around Asia and will also be part of some of the official trips of the Miss Universe organization.
