Zig Dulay to Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid: 'Ang tagumpay n'yo ay tagumpay ko rin'
Direk Zig Dulay wrote an appreciation post for Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, the stars of his latest film, “Green Bones.”
The award-winning director shared photos with the actors on Instagram. Direk Zig told them in his caption, “Ang tagumpay n’yo ay tagumpay ko rin.”
“Mula sa unang pagkikita upang bigyang anyo sina Dom at Javier — hanggang sa tuluyan silang nabuhay sa bawat emosyon at galaw ng inyong pagganap. Salamat sa pagbabahagi ng sining n’yo,” Direk Zig added.
He also thanked Ruru and Dennis for being part of the “Green Bones” journey and giving the film their heart and soul.
“Hanggang sa susunod na paglikha ng kuwento’t buhay. Congrats sa Best Actor ar Best Supporting Actor ng 50th MMFF!” Direk Zig said.
Ruru saw the post and said in the comments section, “Rekdi!! Very grateful ako sayo sobra! Sana po maka trabaho po ulit kita.”
“Green Bones” follows Domingo Zamora (Dennis) who is notorious for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Now that Domingo is up for parole, newly assigned prison guard Javier Gonzaga (Ruru) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what.
The film won several awards at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival, namely, Best Picture, Best Actor for Dennis, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru, Best Screenplay for Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza, Best Cinematography for Neil Daza, and Best Child Performer for Sienna Stevens.
“Green Bones” is still screening in select cinemas nationwide.
