Sandara Park pays homage to Barbie Hsu: 'We will always remember you'

Sandara Park is among the celebrities who are mourning the loss of the "Meteor Garden" star Barbie Hsu.

On X (formerly Twitter), a Filipino user posted a video of the former 2NE1 member singing the hit drama's official soundtrack "Ni Yao De Ai" during the Kaohsiung New Year's Eve Party in January.

Sandara replied and wrote a short and heartfelt message for the late Taiwanese actress.

"Rest in peace Barbie Hsu. I got influenced by you since when I started my career. We will always remember you," she wrote.

Barbie starred as the feisty Dong Shan Cai in "Meteor Garden." The series follows the life of Shan Cai and her school encounters with four wealthy boys, Dao Ming Si (Jerry Yan), Xi Men (Ken Chu), Mei Zuo (Vanness Wu), Hua Ze Lei (Vic Chou).

Previously, Ken and Jerry posted individual tributes to the late star.

Rainie Yang, who played Shan Cai's best friend in "Meteor Garden," also took time to honor Barbie.

Meanwhile, "My Ilonggo Girl" star Yasser Marta also honored Barbie by singing the Tagalog version of one of the drama's soundtrack "Can't Help Fallin."

Barbie passed away on Monday at the age of 48 due to pneumonia. She is survived by her husband, South Korean musician DJ Koo, and her two children from her previous marriage with Wang Xiao Fei, whom she divorced in 2021.
