Herlene Budol feels stronger after 2023 controversy: ‘Kahit anong mangyari, andiyan ang pamilya mo'
Herlene Budol said she feels stronger now after the controversy she faced in 2023.
In her GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired on "24 Oras" Friday, Herlene said that she plans to focus on her work and herself and not those who will only break her heart.
The actress said that in the midst of the issue, her family and God became her sources of strength.
“Wala pong nagtanggol sa akin. Lahat po talaga hinusgahan po ako. Do’n ko po napatunayan na kahit anong mangyari, andiyan ang pamilya mo. Sabi ko, ‘Nay sabihin mo kay Lord hindi naman po ako masamang tao. Sabihin mo kay Lord, nay, na nagmahal lang po ako,’” Herlene said.
According to the report, Herlene has forgiven those who were involved in the issue, as well as her bashers.
In a recent press conference of her new series, "Binibining Marikit," she also shared that she sought medical help to overcome the issues she faced at the time.
In 2023, several screenshots made the rounds on social media, insinuating that Herlene and Bianca Manalo allegedly had an affair with Rob Gomez.
Herlene defended herself from the accusations, saying, "'Pag dedicated ka sa trabaho, gagawan ka ng issue!"
Bianca likewise addressed the rumors in a statement, saying, "Rob Gomez and I are friends and co-workers. He was going to bring Christmas gifts and I wanted to receive them early before I leave for the airport."
Meanwhile, Rob exclusively told Pep that his phone was taken and used without his consent.
Herlene will star in “Binibining Marikit,” which premieres on February 10. She will star alongside Tony Labrusca, Kevin Dasom, Pokwang, and Thea Tolentino, among others.
