Sassa Gurl gives twist to 'Sobrang Latina' trend: 'Sobrang Jolina!'

Sassa Gurl surely knows how to join the humor train!

On TikTok, the Sassa Gurl dump account shared a clip of the social media personality giving a fun twist to the "Sobrang Latina" trend.

In the video, Sassa can be seen wearing a Y2K-inspired outfit and makeup while sporting a sleek up-do adorned with plenty of colorful hair clips.

“Sobrang Jolina!” Sassa said in the video, referring to her iconic look inspired by Jolina Magdangal.

In the comments section, fans couldn't help but poke fun at Sassa’s funny take on the trend.

“Jolina nagdasal,” one user wrote.

“Beh yung brightness against the world,” another user said, referring to the brightness of the video.

The “Sobrang Latina” phrase was popularized by TikTok content creator Sesable. The audio has been used by over 38,000 TikTok users who flaunted their Latina-inspired makeup.

Among the celebrities who hopped on the trend are Kris Bernal, Petrang Mahalimuyak, Buboy Villar, and our very own Latina slayer Reina Hispanomericana 2025 winner Dia Mate.

Sassa has always been known for her comedic and relatable skits on TikTok. She previously shared a hilarious New Year video inspired by the upcoming Kapuso series “Sang’gre.”

Aside from content creation, Sassa has also ventured into acting and modeling.

In December, she marked her first runway show for Filipino fashion designer Rey Calajate.

Sassa also previously starred in the Cinemalaya film "Balota" alongside Marian Rivera.

Meanwhile, Jolina's comeback movie with Marvin Agustin, "Ex Ex Lovers," is now showing in Philippine cinemas.
