Dingdong Dantes, Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Vice Ganda, more recognized by BIR among QC's top celebrity taxpayers
Dingdong Dantes, Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, and "It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda were just some of the personalities who were recognized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue - Revenue Region 7A for being among the top celebrity taxpayers of Quezon City.
According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Wednesday, the stars were given recognition during the recent 2025 Regional Tax Campaign Kickoff, where they received plaques on stage.
The DenJen couple expressed their gratitude for the recognition and also reminded the public of the April 15 deadline to file annual income tax returns.
Kapuso Comedy Genius Michael V. and Bea Alonzo were also recognized among the city's top taxpaying media personalities. Bea, who couldn't attend the event, sent a video message instead.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda said at the event that those who pay their taxes have the right to ask the BIR for accountability in regard to how their taxes are used.
Kasi misyon ng BIR, 'di ba po, gamitin ang mga perang 'yan for nation-building and to uplift the lives of the Filipino people," said Vice Ganda.
According to the report, BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. said that it's important for celebrities to take part in their campaign, titled "Buwis na Tapat, Tagumpay Nating Lahat."
