Michael V. looks back on getting tattoo in honor of Francis M

Michael V. shared a throwback video of him getting a tattoo in honor of his close friend Francis M, days after his passing.

The comedian got a three stars and a sun back tattoo in red ink at the “Eat Bulaga” studio at the Broadway Centrum back on March 9, 2009.

It was done by Pido, the same artist who did Francis M’s famous three stars and a sun tattoo, but in black ink.

“16 years ago and 3 days after Kiko passed away, I did something na hindi kasama sa mga plano ko sa buhay,” Michael V. said on Instagram.

“I have nothing against tattoos except for the part na masakit pala s’ya.”

After the session, Bitoy couldn’t help but say, “T------, ang sakit! Sh-t!”

Despite the physical pain, Bitoy said, “Pero minsan mas okey na ‘yung sakit na alam mo ang pinanggalingan kesa du’n sa bigla mo na lang mararamdaman.”

He also has this to say about FrancisM’s legacy: “FrancisM will live through his music. Everytime you listen to any of his songs, his memory will last a lifetime.”  

Francis M’s daughter Saab Magalona commented, “We love you Tito Bitoy.”

Francis “Kiko” Magalona died in 2009 due to leukemia. The Master Rapper’s hit songs include “Mga Kababayan,” “3 Stars and a Sun,” and “Ito ang Gusto Ko.”

On his 16th death anniversary this week, the Magalona family visited his grave.

Through the years, Bitoy would pay tribute to his late friend. He would share old photos, stories, and even drawings featuring the Master Rapper.
