David Licauco admits he felt challenged by role in ‘Samahan ng mga Makasalanan’
David Licauco admitted that he felt challenged by his role in “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.”
According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras" Friday, David’s character will be put to the test as he gets surrounded by sinful people.
“My initial reaction was, ‘Kaya ko ba ‘yun?’ Just because I never played a role na priest. I mean it was mostly romantic,” David said. “It was exciting for me to say the least kasi siyempre, again, you’re portraying a different character and like, kailan ka ba magiging pari sa buhay mo?”
David knows to himself that he is an introvert.
“I try my best but then, sometimes, pupunta pa rin ako sa sariling sulok ko at mananahimik,” he said.
Also present at the media conference was GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
“Sobrang nakakatuwa pero heartwarming din. Maiiyak ka rin at times dahil makikita mo na kahit sa anong sitwasyon, laging may pag-asang magbago ang mga tao. Don’t lose hope and it's a very feel good movie talaga kaya lalabas ka ng sinehang naka-smile,” she said.
During the event, David also shared that he felt shy during one of his scenes with Sanya Lopez.
“Parang nahiya ako for Sanya na parang naka-bikini ba ‘yun. Parang ‘Shucks, nakakahiya parang ang bigat ng ginagawa niya ngayon ah.’ At saka nagulat ako na um, sexy, ‘di ba?” he said.
Meanwhile, Sanya had this to say about her co-star: "Tahimik lang, very nonchalant di ba po? Pero ang cute lang na marunong siyang makisama. Hindi rin ako nahirapan."
David and Sanya will star alongside Joel Torre, Buboy Villar, Chariz Solomon, Liezel Lopez, Jay Ortega, who also graced the film’s media conference.
