GMA Integrated News' #DapatTotoo digital campaign continues to garner praise with new videos
GMA Integrated News’ digital campaign #DapatTotoo continues to receive positive feedback from netizens as new videos are released.
Led by the GMAIN Social Media Team, the new Digital Exclusives feature Kapuso showbiz broadcasters Nelson Canlas and Aubrey Carampel. As in previous videos, they incorporated Gen Z terms like “simp,” “no cap,” “for real,” and “sus,” but related them to the upcoming midterm elections in May.
“You’re ‘simping’ over people na hindi naman deserve ‘yung boto mo,” Carampel said in a video.
Canlas meawhile said, “Hindi na bago ang mga kandidatong in denial o magsasabing panira lang ang mga binabato sa kanila. Iwas ng iwas, allergic sa accountability! Very suspicious, o ‘sus!’”
As of this writing, the mini public service announcements have garnered 10.5 million views across GMAIN’s social media platforms. Netizens in the comments section have also started conversations about the upcoming elections.
Previously, the Digital Exclusives were released around Valentine’s season, so the terms used were “backburner,” “DTR (define the relationship),” “breadcrumbing,” and “love bombing.”
“Dapat Totoo” emphasizes the fight against misinformation and disinformation to help guide voters for the 2025 midterm elections on May 12.
The digital campaign can be watched across GMA Integrated News’ platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
