Jennylyn Mercado to release new single 'Ayaw Pang Umuwi' this April
Jennylyn Mercado is set to release her new single, "Ayaw Pang Umuwi," this Friday, April 11, on all streaming platforms.
The Kapuso Ultimate Star made the announcement via social media on Tuesday, sharing a short audio clip of the song.
The song features a slow, calming tempo and sentimental lyrics that talk about not wanting to go home when with a special someone.
"Eto na mga bessie ko... I'm excited to share this with you," she wrote in her caption on Instagram..
In early March, Jennylyn announced that her comeback music album is complete.
She first teased her comeback album in 2023. Last year, she kept fans on their toes as she shared glimpses of her working on her music.
Aside from being a top actress, Jennylyn is also known for the songs "Kahit Sandali" and "Sa Aking Panaginip," as well as "Moments of Love" with Janno Gibbs, to name a few. Her last releases were the single "Merry Christmas, Darling" in 2017 and the album "Jen's Gems" in 2016.
Jennylyn and her husband, Dennis Trillo, are also set to star in the upcoming GMA action-drama series "Sanggang Dikit."
The couple's romcom movie, "Everything About My Wife," which is their first movie as husband and wife, premiered in February.
