Rabiya Mateo clarifies affiliation with LVNA by Drake Dustin Jewelry
Rabiya Mateo has addressed her affiliation with the LVNA by Drake Dustin Jewelry.
On Instagram, the Sparkle actress and beauty queen shared a copy of notice by her legal team formally clarifying any misrepresentations regarding her association with the business.
"To clarify any potential confusion, Ms. Mateo is not, and has never been, a shareholder, owner, director, or in any other manner a part-owner or participant in the management, operations, or control of LVNA," the statement signed by her legal team Geco Law Officers read.
Further, Rabiya's involvement with LVNA is "solely confined to her status as its previous product endorser and current investor."
"Ms. Mateo's endorsement engagements with LVNA are exclusively for its jewelry products and do not, in any way, include the solicitation of investments or securities in LVNA," it said.
"As current investor, Ms. Mateo was not issued any shares, stocks, or ownership interests in LVNA - her investment being restricted solely to the receipt of guaranteed interest returns for a specified period. In fact, LVNA has been failing to comply with its obligations to pay Ms. Mateo the purported 'guaranteed' interest returns," it added.
According to the law firm, the notice aims to correct any false statements or misleading implications about Rabiya's involvement in the ownership and operations of LVNA. It also advises the public to exercise caution when dealing with individuals or groups soliciting investments in LVNA while falsely claiming to be authorized or endorsed by Rabiya.
This statement came after online allegations claiming that the jewelry brand is involved in selling "fake diamonds."
In a statement published in their Facebook account on Saturday, LVNA by Drake Dustin dispelled these claims, saying that they are a legally registered business that is committed to transparency, authenticity and quality in their products.
