Barbie Forteza, more stars remember Nora Aunor


"Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" dedicated its Monday episode to the late great Nora Aunor.

Shot at The Heritage Park in Taguig, it featured, among others, clips from Nora's wakes and interviews with fans and celebrities alike.

Among those the show was able to interview was Barbie Forteza, when she paid her respects last week. The Sparkle star she learned the most important lesson from the National Artist. "Wag kalilimutang batiin ang pinakamataas hanggang sa pinakababang tao sa set," the Barbie said.

Meanwhile, Roderick Paulate said of Ate Guy, "Mahirap yung tinahak niya, hindi lahat magagawa yon."

For director Joel Lamangan, "the fact na mahal niya ang tao, mahal niya ang taong bayan, at makatotoohanan niyang ginagawa yon," spoke volumes about the kind of peron Nora was.

But nobody said it better than Kuh Ledesma who simply said, "Guy is the biggest Superstar of our nation."

Nora died on Wednesday surrounded by her loved ones. She was 71.

According to her son, Ian, the Superstar died of acute respiratory failure

She will be given state necrological services on Tuesday, April 22 at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the arrival honors, followed by a tribute program at 9:00 a.m.

Nora will be laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City. — LA, GMA Integrated News
