Iñigo Pascual on working with Susan Sarandon in Hollywood: ‘I was nervous as heck’
Iñigo Pascual got to work with Hollywood stars, including Susan Sarandon, for the US TV show “Monarch.”
On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Iñigo recalled his experience filming for the show, where he played the role of Ace Grayson, which he auditioned for.
“I was nervous. I was nervous as heck. Sobrang kinakabahan ako going into it,” he began.
According to Iñigo, filming in the States is different from filming in the Philippines. "Sa States kasi hindi katulad sa Pilipinas na pwede kang magdala ng road manager mo or ng handler mo. Susunduin ka pero ikaw lang talaga pupunta mag-isa sa set. And siyempre ako, first experience ko ‘yon," he said
According to IMDb, "Monarch" tells the story of a family, The Romans, who built a country music dynasty. And when their status is put in jeopardy, Nicky, played by Anna Friel "will stop at nothing to protect her family's legacy."
Susan Sarandon, who appeared in four episodes of the show, played the character of Dottie Cantrell Roman.
Trace Adkins and Joshua Sasse are also part of the cast.
On Wednesday, the FIlipino actor said “everyone was so nice. As in kung ano ‘yung parang pamilya na treatment natin dito, gano’n din sila.”
When asked if the pay was good, Iñigo simply said, “Hollywood payment kumbaga. Good naman po.”
Iñigo teased that he has a new project in the US.
“I’ve been doing so many auditions, and I love the process of it. This coming 2025. I’m—not a lot to talk much about it, but I’m gonna be doing another film in the States where I’m gonna be the lead for it. So I’m excited,” he said.
In the Philippines, Iñigo is starring in the movie “Fatherland” with Allen Dizon, Richard Yap, and more.
It is directed by Joel Lamangan and is now showing in cinemas. — LA, GMA Integrated News
