Jackie Lou Blanco, Rikki Mae Davao turn emotional at Ricky Davao tribute on ‘TiktoClock’

Jackie Lou Blanco and her daughter Rikki Mae could not help but cry when Ricky Davao was honored on “TiktoClock” on Thursday morning.

“Lumaki po ako nang marami ang humahanga sa kanya bilang isang aktor, director, at kaibigan sa industriya,” Rikki Mae said. “Pero para sa ‘kin, he will always be Papa, and I will forever remain a fan.”

Ricky’s former wife Jackie Lou then said, “Ang dedikasyon ni Ricky at ang kanyang pagmamahal sa sining ay patuloy na mamumuhay sa bawat palabas, pelikula, at mga kwentong iniwan niya sa atin. We will truly miss you, Ricky. We all love you.”

During the tribute, family photos and some of Ricky’s scenes were flashed on the screen, as theater actress Janine Desiderio performed one of the late actor's favorite songs “Araw Gabi.”

Jackie Lou and Rikki Mae could not help but shed tears.

GMA Network also presented a plaque to Jackie Lou and Rikki Mae.

Host Kuya Kim Atienza asked the family how they want the public to remember Ricky.

“I think I want them to remember Ricky with his kindness, with the love that he gave to all his colleagues, for his professionalism, and for just being napakahusay na tao,” Jackie Lou said through tears.

She added, “People during Ricky’s wake were so helpful to us and that is a testament to how wonderful a man he was, so thank you.”

Rikki Mae added that it is very bittersweet to be in GMA because it was her father’s second home.

“Kaya nung pumasok ako kanina, nag-re-ready na ‘ko to not be so emotional pero kasi ang hirap talaga especially sa lahat ng nangyari sa family namin this year,” she said.

Rikki Mae said that Ricky is known for his artistic prowess, “pero ‘yung puso niya talaga ‘yung I think kung saan siya maalala ng mga tao, sa buti ng puso niya.”

Jackie Lou thanked everybody who mourned with them and sent their love and kindness.

“I hope you remember him for all that he was, and kung nakilala niyo siya personally or hindi man, I hope that whatever you learned from him is what you continue to share to others.”

Rikki Mae added, “Sana po kahit wala na siya dito, sana po tangkilikin niyo ‘yung mga pelikula niya, ‘yung pelikulang Pilipino kahit na wala siya dun kasi ‘yun ‘yung passion niya eh.”

Rikki Mae also thanked GMA as her father spent decades with the network, “at mahal na mahal po niya ang GMA.”

Jackie Lou also thanked “TiktoClock” for the tribute to Ricky and a previous one for her mother, Pilita Corrales.

Ricky passed away after facing complications related to cancer. He was 63 years old.

Tributes from fellow artists instantly poured in on social media.

With a career spanning over 40 years, Ricky is best known for his roles in "Abot Hanggang Sukdulan," "Saranggola," and "Ipaglaban Mo The Movie," which earned him accolades from FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and the Metro Manila Film Festival, among others. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
