AiAi Delas Alas says she was once offered to run as mayor of Calatagan, Batangas

AiAi Delas Alas says she once considered entering politics. 

On Monday’s episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Kapuso comedienne revealed that she has received multiple offers to run for public office.

“Na-offeran ako. Marami ng times. Kaya nag-aral ako sa UP ng public governance. I considered it,” she said, adding that she was offered to run as Mayor of Catalagan, Batangas. 

[I was offered, many times. That's why I studied public governance in UP. I considered it.)

Despite numerous offers, AiAi said she never pursued her bid because she felt like she was not yet fit for the role. 

“Feeling ko hindi ko pa kaya, ‘yung ganoong kataas na posisyon. Siguro dapat bukod sa mag-aral muna ako, mababang posisyon muna. Saka tayo mag-mayora,” she explained.

[I feel I couldn't handle it, a position that high. Apart from studying, maybe I should start with a lower position. Become mayor should come later.]

According to AiAi, she is completely over the idea of running for office, as she doesn’t want to be placed under more scrutiny.

“Okay na ako. Ayoko na. Bugbog na bugbog na ang puso ko. Ayoko ng mabugbog pa,” she shared.

[I'm OK. I don't want to run anymore. My hurt is really bruised. I don't want to experience any more hurt.] 

AiAi is set to return as a coach in “The Clash” Season 7 alongside Lani Misalucha.
