Aiko Melendez wins Quezon City 5th district councilor seat

Aiko Melendez has won a seat in the fifth district council of Quezon City.

On Instagram, the actress shared a carousel of photos from her proclamation on Tuesday, and expressed gratitude to her supporters, especially her family, who backed her throughout her bid.

Now in her second term, Aiko vows to serve with integrity, centered on God and the people.

"Sa aking pangalawang termino umasa po kayo ng mas dekalidad na serbisyo mula po sa akin. Tapat at sentro na me Takot sa DIOS at Bayan!" she wrote.

“Ako po si Aiko Melendez isa sa mga konsehal ninyo karangalan ko po ang magserbisyo sa inyo,” she added.

Aiko received 142,495 votes, according to the partial and unofficial tally of the Commission on Elections. She is among the six councilors of Quezon City’s fifth district.
