Is Winwyn Marquez closing her doors on pageantry? Kapuso beauty queen answers

Winwyn Marquez debuted as the newest host-mate of "Unang Hirit" on Monday and talked about her stint in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant.

According to the Kapuso beauty queen, pageantry has drastically changed from her last competition in 2017, when she was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana.

Among the changes Winwyn has observed in the world of pageantry is the growing influence of social media.

“Medyo struggle, pero kinaya naman," she said.

Winwyn also clarified her comment about Miss Universe Philippines 2025 being her final pageant.

“Kaya ko siya nabanggit kasi sobrang overwhelming,” she said. “Lahat natapos na, gusto ko na umuwi, kaya nabanggit ko siya.”

“Pero ako kasi, hindi natin alam kung anong mangyayari bukas, so, we’ll never know,” she added.

Miss Universe Philippines 2025 marked Winwyn’s pageantry comeback, representing Muntinlupa. She went home as a first runner-up. 

Despite not winning the crown, Winwyn still cheered for Ahtisa Manalo during her crowning moment.
